Psychological Weapons

There are some people who by virtue of their superb psychological sense can judge what a person expects/wants to hear, and they say exactly that. And by doing so, they manage to earn the trust of that person. The ability to say right things at the right time is a huge advantage. And these people make the best liars, because their lies conform to your psychology and unless you possess a psychological insight equal to theirs, it becomes very difficult to distinguish truth from falsehood. People are so frail against such people, it's unimaginable... their ability to exploit the human tendency of trust is horrifying... the very idea of encountering such people terrifies me!

Correct. But these people can also be good and may serve a purpose in changing the bad in you for the good. These people may have the gift of the gab but you to have your intelligence to counter and protect yourself from such people. It is possible to be fooled but then not everybody in the world is out to get you. Relax and enjoy, you might revel inteh company of somebody who is like this!

Absolutely correct Awais. I, too, am enduring the same psychlogical weapons nowadays. At the time the lies are heard, i cant even imagine that these are lies. But believe me as i am away from those liars, i realize that all they said were just lies nothing else.

RIght on Mukesh, The power of psychological persuasion can be used for good, great leaders know what to say at the right time to motivate action and change. However, this does not necessarily mean that they should be blindly followed. To best protect ourselves from this manipulation, we must always ask questions of these people and of ourselves.
